About Me

Coming from a farming background, I've always been accustomed to hard manual work. However, a back injury sustained during my youth led to persistent pain, despite medical treatment. Undeterred, I pursued athletic achievements, excelling in sports and running competitions. My passion for gardening led me to explore the intricacies of plant growth, eventually transitioning into garden design. Yet, as my physical workload increased, so did the severity of my back troubles. Seeking relief, I turned to osteopathy, but found temporary solutions to recurring issues stemming from my original injury. It wasn't until my early thirties, during drama school, that I discovered the transformative power of the Alexander Technique. Realising its potential to not only alleviate pain but also enhance performance, I committed to a three-year training program to become an Alexander Technique teacher. Since then, I've been able to effectively manage my back issues and lead a fulfilling life.

Having worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including performers and athletes, I've honed my skills in applying the Alexander Technique to massage therapy. By integrating this technique into my practice, I offer a unique approach to massage that promotes relaxation, releases tension, and encourages holistic well-being. Incorporating aromatherapy adds another dimension to my work, harnessing the healing properties of essential oils to address a range of physical and emotional concerns. With a deep understanding of plant lore and the therapeutic benefits of botanical oils, I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of my clients. Drawing from my personal experience with pain management, I strive to empower clients to take an active role in their own well-being. Whether you seek relief from discomfort or simply wish to unwind, I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and therapeutic experience. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and support you on your journey to wellness.
